Vehicle Overview
This is a very clean, custom Formula Red NSX. The most recent owner is a local adult business owner who invested a lot of money in the car but did not drive it much. He kept all service records and work orders, they are included with the car. Clean CARFAX, clear title, no known problems, dents, dings or scratches.
The NSX is the Japanese Ferrari and its easy to see why- a distinct, classy look and great performance rank this car in supercar status. With the NSX you also get greater reliability and affordable service and repair. After all, it is a Honda, and it was Honda's way of putting their race car technology in our hands. This NSX features a super-light all-aluminium chassis, body, and suspension, a first for a production car. The standard race-inspired V6 engine is mid-mounted; it featured Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC), six individual coils, and titanium connecting rods. This was the first application of VTEC in a vehicle offered outside of Japan.
This 1994 luckily missed the performance reductions of 1995- the removable roof NSX-T came out in 1995 at the expense of performance. The removable roof reduced the chassis rigidity of the NSX and added about 100 pounds of structural reinforcements. In addition to this major change, the suspension was also softened to improve ride, comfort, and tire wear, at the expense of ultimate handling.
This NSX features a 3.0L V6 VTEC motor, 5-spd manual transmission, full black leather interior, factory Bose stereo system, ABS, dual air bags, NSX floor mats, dual power seats, power mirrors, cruise, AC. Custom additions include painted side skirts, BBS wheels with Toyo Z-rated tires, large fog lights recessed in the front grill, aftermarket Pioneer Navigation, and a clear custom engine cover. Power steering was not available from the factory so this car does not have power steering.
New wheels and tires, Navigation system have been recently installed. Seats and floor mats are also new. Full 90k service recently performed with records. California Smog OK, ready to go!
Brief detail of Service Records:
90K service performed on 3/1/06, 87,981 miles. Timing belt, waterpump, tensioner and all drive belts, thermostat, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, wiper blades replaced. 4-wheel alignment performed. Over $3,000 spent.
New Toyo tires and BBS Rims installed 3/2006.
New catalytic converters installed 8/7/06, 88,406.
Navigation, fog lights, rear deck cover, shift knob all professionally installed with receipts.
2005 was the last production year of the NSX- they are only going to become harder to find so don't wait on this one!
