1966 Chevrolet nova II ss clone ss clone Coupe

I started my journey being built in Ypsilanti, Michigan March 16th 1966, and made my way out to John Roth Chevrolet in Merced California where I sat for just a few months when my new owner in Concord California set out looking for me. On august 21 1966 my new owner had me transported to Concord where I finally got to meet him, he paid 2625.00 to Fitzpatric Chevrolet and drove me home to our new house. The story goes that he traded in his old 1953 ford pick up and 110.70 that day with a prommis to pay 50.00 on September 6th and pay 37 monthly payments of 79.86 he was real happy,I only had 60 miles on me at time of delivery. Looking back now my owner took great care of me he started a diary that day and every time he put new oil in me, changed my wipers,and fixed any problems,charted every gallon of gas untill I had 125712.3 miles on me he marked it down.On December 20 1991 it was a sad day when he decided it was time for the next leg in my journey and he sold me to a man in Oakley California at that time he passed all my papers to my new owner which include all my registrations, my diary, my owners manual with my protecta plate, the original DMV reciept,DMV window sticker, the cashier reciept where he paid for me at the dealer, the Chevrolet custom feature accessories guide from 1966, brief passenger car data guide, my warranty book, all my glove box material right down to my safty belt instructions, and yes the original msrp and factory build sheet to my construction. Well things didn't go so well for me with my second owner he decided I needed a face lift, and he took me completely apart (with good intentions im sure), He gave my hart away(my 283 v-8 motor) because he wanted to up grade me since I was a four speed you know, but thats about where it ended. I sat there all apart for 12 years, yes 12 years and he never got back to me. I guess the best part was I was always in the garage and not out in the cold and rain because I have never had any rust on my body what so ever. Thats when the second best day of my life came my owner needed money because of economy you know, and he sold me to these new people. They picked me up and loaded all my parts on a trailor and took me to there shop and started putting me back together. They put a freshly rebuilt 350 4 bolt main motor in me and a real nice m21 transmission.A complete new front end steering, all ball joints and tie rod ends, seals gaskets,bolts and bearings. They than up graded my brake system to 4 wheel disc brakes with cross drilled and sloted rotors, they said so I could stop on a dime. They cleaned and painted my underside, powder coated my front subframe and misc parts like my heater box and all brackets and misc. pieces.They replaced my old scratched glasses with brand new ones, sanded my body down to bear sheet metal and took out all my years of little dents( and I mean little dents) and gave me a brand new beautiful paint job. I now have 3 coats of rose base topped with 3 coats of candy apple red and 4 coats of clear and boy do I shine, better than when I was new. The cool part is they put the french vinella on my lower half and broke the 2 colors with a real (22 carrot gold)gold leaf stripe. They also replated all my chrome and polished every part I came with that was unblemished.Any replacement parts were G.M.nos parts not a bunch of aftermarket replacement parts. You should see what they did to my interior, they referbished my dash and every thing is back in working orded as if it were new, put a little gold inside as well and recovered all my seats and headliner with french vinella leatherette with a brand new red carpet so everything matches real well. Oh I forgot to tell you they gave me new shoes(tires) also but they upgraded me to the new 17 inch rims all the way around with american racing mags so I would stand tall apart from the rest of the cars on my block. Well now im all done and looking for a new home where I will be taken care of as I should be. Who ever addopts me will get all my papers and a disc of my complete make over.
